Hubert Harrison is Discussed by Brent Hayes Edwards, Thai Jones, and Jeffrey B. Perry in a Columbia University Rare Book and Manuscript Library Program

The Rare Book & Manuscript Library (RBML) at Columbia University celebrates the publication of Hubert Harrison: The Struggle for Equality, 1918–1927, the final volume of Dr. Jeffrey B. Perry's magisterial study of the once-forgotten figure known as the Father of Harlem Radicalism. The Hubert H. Harrison papers, 1893-1927, are an important collection held by the RBML. Selected items from the collection are available online via the Hubert H. Harrison digital project. Speakers include Dr. Perry and Brent Hayes Edwards, Peng Family Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. The discussion is moderated by Thai Jones, Herbert H. Lehman Curator for American History in the RBML, and sponsored by the Lehman Center for American History, Columbia University Press, and the RBML.
